"The real taste of coffee"

Organic coffee beans are back in force. After the craze for ground coffee, coffee enthusiasts are turning to high-quality bean coffee. These have the advantage of keeping fresh longer, allowing you to enjoy a coffee rich in aroma.
If Baristas work with coffee beans, it's because it's the best! Our beans are instantly roasted and wrapped in their biodegradable freshness bags: the aromas are retained and expressed to their fullest. The flavors reveal themselves divinely. It is the type of coffee that offers the most freshness.

Discover and succumb to our unique recipes, enhanced by the slow and delicate artisanal roasting of our artisan Master Roaster.

New Trend: Coffee beans

Experts prefer freshly grounded coffee, roasted no more than three weeks ago. Roasting involves cooking the coffee bean. Once roasted, the green bean turn brown and gain volume. The aroma, color, and smell of coffee vary depending on the time and temperature of cooking. The lighter the roasted beans, the more acidic and delicate the coffee. Traditional roasting respects each of the cooking stages. Coffee beans are economical and ecological. They cost less than capsules or pods. Besides, you can find beans in 500g or 1 kg bags, a more economical solution, limiting the consumption of packaging at the same time. Coffee beans can be stored for two months. By grinding coffee beans at the last moment, coffee lovers can enjoy quality coffee without bitterness. If you are using an automatic coffee machine, the bean grinder is integrated. These automatic machines are simple to use and offer you fresh coffee at the touch of a button.

Why choose organic coffee?

Insects or fungi can attack coffee trees. The Arabian coffee tree, which produces quality coffee, is more susceptible to rust. Coffee trees that are not grown organically are treated with many pesticides and chemical fertilizers. These products pollute the soil, the water, and end up in your cup of coffee. Organic agriculture does not use pesticides and chemical fertilizers. The plants of Coffea arabica cultivated mainly in organic plantations grow at an altitude between 1000 and 2000 meters. At this altitude, there are few or no parasites. In organic farming, the land is enriched naturally, and the coffee is harvested by hand. Plantations must not have used chemicals for at least five years. It is better to consume organic coffee. This production method respects ecosystems as well as consumers' health and coffee growers. Although coffee is imported, coffee growers must comply with specifications to obtain a European organic label. Buying fair trade organic is even better. Indeed, organic farming and fair trade are two complementary approaches. Fair trade protects workers, ensuring them an income and decent working conditions.

Coffee Varietiés

Although often cultivated in South America, coffee is originally from Ethiopia. Coffee trees grow in tropical rainforests, between 200m and 2000m above sea level. Among the different coffee trees species, two are widely cultivated: Arabica Coffee (Coffea Arabica) and Robusta Coffee (Coffea Canephora). Each species has many varieties, around 200 for Coffea Arabica and about 50 for Coffea Canephora. Arabica produces the best coffee, gourmet coffee. Most organic coffee is produced in South America from Arabica plants. Arabica is also cultivated in India, on the East Coast of Africa and in Papua New Guinea. It grows in mountainous regions because the altitude increases the delicacy of its aroma. The Abyssinica variety is the natural form of the Arabica from Ethiopia. The Typica and Bourbon coffee varieties are considered the first grape varieties, all the others being derivatives. The very fruity Mocha or the Maragogype make an excellent gustatory quality coffee. Only five types of the Canephora are edible. Among these five varieties is Robusta, which is the most disease resistant and the easiest to grow. On the other hand, its beans give harsher and less fine coffees. Robusta coffee beans contain twice as much caffeine as the Arabica.

Grands Crus Classified Coffees

The cultivation of coffee trees is comparable to that of the vine. Just like wines, some very high-end coffees are Grands Crus. These are particularly famous and rare arabica grape varieties. Exceptionally pure, they come from the same range of coffee trees belonging to the same plantation and the same terroir. They often grow on volcanic and rich in minerals soils, and their fruits take longer to mature. A Grand Cru coffee is a unique, gourmet coffee that requires artisanal roasting to develop its full range of flavors. A Grand Cru will allow you to make the best espresso thanks to the automatic machines. Among the most famous are the Blue Mountain from Jamaica, very fruity and without bitterness, the Mogiana from Brazil, showcasing caramel notes, the Ethiopian Mocha with perfect balance, or the Popayan from Colombia with a velvety texture. For connoisseurs, fair trade organic coffee beans remain the best choice to awaken their senses. It's up to you to choose the
coffee beans and the automatic coffee machine that suits you!
