QUALITY COFFEE
Coffee is grown in Western Honduras mainly in Santa Barbara, El Paraiso and Comyagua at an
altitude of over 1500 meters. The plantations are committed to sustainable development and comply with international charters on fair trade.
The many Arabica varieties grown include Bourbon, Catura and Typica. Harvesting takes place from October to March, the cherries are wet-pulped and dried both naturally and artificially.
The SHG designation stands for Strictly High Grown. It indicates that the coffee has been grown at very high altitudes above 1500m, guaranteeing quality.
ATTENTION: NON-ROASTED GREEN COFFEE - Do not put in an automatic machine with a built-in grinder or in a grinder. Green coffee is very hard and will damage your grinder.
TIPS FOR USING GREEN COFFEE
Decoction:
For a cold decoction, put 10 green coffee beans in a large glass of water at the end of the day. Keep overnight in the refrigerator. The next day, drink the decoction after removing the coffee beans.
Infusion:
For a hot infusion, prepare the cold decoction and reheat it. You can add lemon, cinnamon, or honey. We recommend Panela, which will give it a subtle caramelized taste.
Roasting:
Proceed to a Light French "Robe de Moine" roasting to develop all the aroma of this balanced coffee showcasing delicate fruit notes.
"Honduras is a true coffee land. I love this region because it offers exceptional coffee with delicate fruit notes. For this bean, I recommend a traditional roasting with a Light French "Robe de Moine" type of roasting and a slow rise in temperature, a long roasting of about 20 minutes, a cooling and a gentle degassing (freshness guaranteed)."
